(deeply embarrassed to be asking this, unfortunately i'm a bio major so it's been in the back of my mind for a while. do they. lay?? the eggs?? or is it like a wish craft thing? if the former, can they interbreed? would there be a mix of species in the clutch or is it like pokemon where it's only the "mother's" species? and if it's the latter, do they need to have a tankmate to help or can they just like perform a ritual solo and then BOOM. EGGS. are there warning signs that your isatling is contemplating seeking divine intervention to acquire children or do people just wake up one day and surprise, your guy has eggs now!!)
(sorry for the psychic damage :( i watch a lot of kitten lifecycle videos so i've just been laughing at the idea of providing your siffrin with a super cozy nest area and then you wake up to find the clutch of eggs in their food dish or something)
I would love to answer this question but alas I fear. that I am a coward who doesn’t want to get into the specifics of isatling breeding????? I’ve gotten a few questions about crossbreeding & such, so to answer those: yeah, sure, go ahead!! If you want to conjure up Isatling fan kids or fusions then you can absolutely go for it & ask questions about them. this is also me giving you explicit permission to send in your fan kids as little isatlings though I cannot? provide info on them? since theyre not my oc? you can also submit human loops too if your heart so desires it :].
IMPORTANT NOTE: topics like this EXCLUDE bonnie & every single other child character 100% of the time. we are not going to discuss it. i’m banning it on this tumblr dot com webpage. if you ask me these things about the kid characters i will find you and hunt you down. okay? okay. yay🩵
How it works is: whatever you think!!! I will say that for some it is definitively the Universe’s interference (as is the case with Loop eggs) but for everything else I really don’t know beyond “there are eggs”. also I think “asking for divine intervention to acquire children” is really fucking funny so I will say that’s part of isatling canon lore. Warning signs for this include nesting behavior (making a little nook) and rationing/hiding food + a sugary smell.
Maybe my answer will change later on. but for now I give you: “eggs can be willed into existence and crossbreeding occurs Somehow”. Thank you and have a good day / night / timeloop

Sigh. Nikola why must you be one of the more interesting oni characters. I don't wanna think abt you with your stupid spiky blond hair and your unethical science that mostly just serves to make Jackie more shitty by proxy. But I do. Because you're kind of orbo blorbo. Fuck you Nikola I hope you explode again
#rat rambles#oni posting#hes just extremely fascinating in the scientist crowd because he has a weirdly large presence in the like. actual meat of the lore.#like he has an actual arc that relates to the quote unquote plot of oni#he made the field around earth he made the neural vaculators (presumably) he contributed to the teleporters and was also involved with#some of the other projects in the bioengineering department and is one of the two scientists that we know for sure knew abt and worked with#duplicants and all of that and almost every instant of nikola being relevant hes only seen second hand#the One thing that we have that is Maybe directly from him is an email that hes the most likely canidate for#and I mean it Im pretty sure outside of that hes only ever either mentioned second hand or doesnt talk in the case of that one ellie email#even the one time we see proper dialogue from him it isnt even a recording its a second hand retelling from ruby#its soooo fascinating I dont even know if this was on purpose but I love it regardless#now tbf theres other characters who are also mostly if not only mentioned second hand but none that have as much of a lore presence as him#nails was close but then 'a seed is planted' dropped and they became a part of the troubling second hand nikola info club#watch them finally add ashkan dialogue and its just him talking abt nikola being involved in the puppy ai incident too or smth#the thing is that isnt even that out there nikola Did work on the teleporters and worked on somw gravitas time travel shit too so who knows#Im trying to think of theres anyone else whos mentioned in the logs but doesnt actually talk and I know there's steve and ada but hmmm#this isnt counting artifact or news artical specific mentions tbc we're talking within character dialogue#sorry meep mae and pei#WAIT cant believe I forgot abt devon rip bestie my sincerest apologies#I think thats it tho everyone else whos mentioned in dialogue has dialogue Im pretty sure#well direct dialogue I mean#oh tbc ashkan is also in that club#hes probably in second place on the weirdness of his lack of dialogue due to his striking presence in several log list#now tbf hes mentioned like 3 times I think? not counting artifacts ofc. so he's not talked abt That frequently#but one of those is in a paradox and the others are in story traits so its still interesting#I had already loved ashkan before doing my full lore dive so finding out this mysterious dr.ali was my boy ashkan was a delight#now ofc technically ashkan could have secret dialogue that we just dont know is him since we dont know his work id but still#we dont know nikolas either but nikola is likely in engineering and ashkan is likely in robotics so theyre both not likely to be them#they Could be as they do likely work with the bioengineering department but nikola is fully crossed out as the fossil guy at least#ashkan Could be the fossil guy but its not likely imo as theyre also the guy in the husbandry log implying theyre fully a biologist

Okay, so I'm gonna contribute to the discourse as someone who did research at both Khao Khaew and the now demolished Dusit Zoo, both part of the Zoological Parks Association Under Royal Patronage (ZPA). And as someone familiar with the workings of AZA zoos as a contrast.
I will concede that on one hand, standards and practices leave a lot to be desired. Unfortunately part of it is connected to the same social norms that have allowed JJ Market to continue the exotic pet trade, animal cafes and roadside zoos to proliferate, and people to own trendy dog breeds that clearly don't belong in Bangkok. And it's what leads to a lot of stereotypic and distressed behaviors passed off as cute (including but not limited to Moo Deng); this is before the toxic element of social media is added to the mix.
There's also economics. Yes, Thailand is technically an industrialized country, but in the same way that Indonesia and Vietnam are (contrast with Singapore, which is proportionately ahead of most Western countries). It's important to see what's between those gleaming skyscrapers. And that is a contributing factor to a lot of resource shortfalls for the zoos themselves; that's not getting into COVID and the ripple effect of closing Dusit Zoo without an alternative in place.
In that regard, the damning thing is that the standards of ZPA zoos are actually leaps and bounds ahead of not just the country but the region (minus Singapore; I would argue that it's actually unproductive to bring its zoo up as a comparison). Like look at Pata and the now defunct Tiger Temple; places that Westerners reveled in as late as the 00s. At least in ZPA case, they have also done essential conservation work; especially for clouded leopards, hornbills, and sun bears.
That doesn't make it any less WTF when I see a lot of clout-chasing vids that
Still part of me can't help but get defensive at the manner of fixation from a primarily western crowd. Both from those who use Western/Industrialized zoos as a way to contrast, as well as the PETA-types.
I do *not* think you yourself are being racist. If anything it's paternalistic to assume that a zoo in Thailand can't be held to higher standards. *However*, I have found a very patronizing mentality among many other western critics that does veer into racism frequently. You are already familiar with the way anti-zoo folks will take something out of context to fit their agenda; now force that through an othering lens.
At the same time, I will concede Thais are glossing over issues and practices when they rush to defend KKZ. Considering the context of how they are approached, I empathize with why they are defensive. But many do downplay and refuse to tackle the aforementioned social norm in how animal husbandry is viewed by wider populace.
TLDR: KKZ and the other ZPA branches have a ton of issues, a lot of those issues are socially systemic, and there should be pressure to reform. At the same time, it shouldn't get canceled, especially considering the important bts work it does and especially the immediate alternatives. And that pressure to reform should be accompanied by resources.
Hey there I really appreciate you sharing your research into the facilities! My intention of the posts has never been to "cancel" the zoo or to dictate their protocols. I don't believe in any sort of western dictation to other countries.
Honestly, I completely understand the defensiveness towards criticism of the handling of Moo Deng - she's an icon, she's brought in millions of dollars into the Thailand economy and the zoo's profits. Tourists are travelling all around the world to see her!
Although it has gotten to the point where their defensiveness is veering into delusion, with people insisting that pygmy hippos love it when you smack them and chase them around so it's fine actually... but I digress...
And I'm sure that the keeper thinks what he's doing is completely fine and not an issue. And if it generates clicks and views, that's good for the zoo, right? So why would they see any point in changing their practises?
I guess my hope is that maybe they might use those millions of dollars to improve conditions for the animals and the staff, provide resources for collaboration with zoos like Singapore Zoo and give keepers more resources to review and improve current pracises.
But they won't do that if their current poor animal husbandry practises are reinforced with clout and feverant defense of the keepers (it's actually kind of amazing how loyal people are to this one keeper!)
So now they have money and potentially more resources from this whole thing - but they're probably not going to use it to change practises that got them that money in the first place.
Anyway, I agree with your points and you've summed it up well!

Cerebrum - Board Update
Now that I’ve quit my job working at a laboratory I can now, hilariously, get back to my storyboard on... mice in a laboratory. Feels so good to work on my project again and actually have energy for it. (Trust me, I really liked the job, which was basically animal husbandry and caring for lab animals, but the way corporate and management ran things was ATROCIOUS. Most stressful position I’ve ever had. Not just that department either, but the entire medical facility. So many overworked, underpaid, frustrated people there. It was horrible.) I’m now working part-time for a friend doing animation. All my years of saying I’d never animate as a job has come back to bite me in the butt.
Thank you, by the way, for all of your kind tags/comments on the last piece I uploaded. I read them all and they’re much appreciated. Sorry I haven’t responded to each of you individually. It’s not for lack of caring, but because I’m very... hesitant to interact much online or with friends. I honestly don’t know how to reintegrate myself into community at this point in time other than just... posting what I love. I’m scared. I’m sorry.
Below is what I’ve been working on since leaving my last position -- thirteen board pages of “Cerebrum”. The first nine were already done beforehand. Trigger warning for animal testing, needles, near-drowning, and a character in peril. Yes, I’m still very much into the macabre. Nothing has changed there.
You can also view the board here, on the “Cerebrum” website. More information about laboratory life at the very end.

This story is partially based on old lab practices, partially steeped in fiction, and partially referring to actual laboratory practices (still) done today.
Old Practices: - catching mice in the wild; very outdated - forced swim test; technically still used (?), but might be getting phased out
Fiction: - cage structure and placement; may have been more accurate years ago - grabbing a mouse around the middle and the last two holding techniques
Current Practices: - grabbing a mouse by the tail; yes, this is done, but you grab it near the middle or base so as to not cause the animal any harm - shots/injections - ear tagging - scruffing (doesn’t hurt them at all)
Some will complain about animal torture. Let me tell you something: Those animals were treated incredibly well, considering the situation they were in. The air they breath and the water they drink is cleaner than ours. Everything is kept as spotless as possible. There are tight regulations about how suited up you are according to what rooms you are in, how you handle the animals, and making sure all of the little cute fuzzes (and the livestock) have adequate food, water, and soft bedding. The pigs are given toys to play with and nice music to listen to (the pigs seemed legit happy; not a care in the world; they were kinda spoiled, actually), the birds are given a huge cage to fly around in, the rodents and ferrets are given enrichment, and the staff genuinely cares about their animals. No animal is allowed to suffer beyond what is necessary (meaning, what the test requires, and this is under regulation and must be permitted; if there is no other way to avoid pain for a test, it must be approved before being enacted; you can read about this online). As soon as an animal looks to be under the weather, it is reported and the veterinary staff quickly determines whether to administer healing medication or have the animal humanely euthanized. I am saying all of this to dispel any concern that anyone may have about what is conducted behind closed doors. It is unfortunate that animals are still being tested, but I understand why, as do the people conducting said tests. Nobody likes doing it. The folks there legit care about their animals. It was very comforting to see. Also, despite the fact that corporate sucked, the work itself was a mix between very standard and very interesting.
And, yes, there were white mice and they were the friendliest models.

I'm sorry nobody knows what a tumblr job is
if you aren't missing a comma or a "but" there. thank u i love u
if i had unlimited characters and thought people would bother reading context associated with a poll, (i am pretty sure they usually do not) and also had some foresight about some of the specific things people would interpret differently than i intended, here's what this would have looked like:
[begin post]
[begin poll]
which of these listed tumblr job types is yours?
retail, grocery, consumer-facing service and sales (excludes call centers and food service)
food service (includes restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, bars, cafeterias, food trucks, commercial kitchens, food kitchens, etc; cooking + serving + hosting)
teacher, professor, tutor, teaching assistant, childcare provider, but not educational administrator, if you do another kind of education read the rest of the options first because one of them might be a better fit
engineer, developer, technical designer, data or computer scientist, not including technical writers
parks and wildlife, outdoor research, animal care (including animal boarding and veterinary care), animal keeping (such as zoos or aquariums), animal husbandry, farming, ranching, environmental conservation, gardener or plant nursery worker (but not florist), field archaelogist, equine therapist, outdoor camp counselor if you work with and have knowledge around plants and/or animals
librarian, archivist, docent, tour guide, curator, patron-facing researcher, consultant historian or sociologist, community educator at a cultural or knowledge (probably nonprofit) institution (including but not limited to historical reenactors); reception or guest services related to any of the previous, excepting food service, which is the food service option
writer - content, technical, proposal, marketing, fiction, nonfiction, educational, research, including editing, but has to be actively working and receiving pay from a company, an organization, and/or clients/commissioners including publications/publishers, even if income is inconsistent or not received at regular intervals. does not include captioning or transcription. translators use your best judgment
artist, illustrator, graphic designer, but has to be actively working and receiving pay from a company, an organization, clients/commissioners including publications and galleries, may include visual marketing but does NOT include ad sales, also does not include video editing unless you do like, speed paints or show off your art in videos
patient healthcare, caregiving, and advocacy. does not include animal care, pharmaceutical research or dispensing, or medical coding/billing
you are not currently working as / do not currently have any of the Tumblr Jobs listed above
[end poll]
a "Tumblr Job" is decided based on the following criteria, which is based on my own dashboard/Tumblr experiences, and tumblr searches:
either many Tumblr users have or have had that job, OR, one to a few high-profile Tumblr users have or have had that job
posts are made about that job, either about the day-to-day work itself (positive or negative), as an appeal to authority ("librarian here!"), or about the concept and/or vibes of the job or having that job
posts are reblogged about that job, and reach an audience of people who do not have that job; posts go viral about that job, even
Tumblr users might aspire to have that job, or be studying toward it
it might require a high level of interest and/or personal investment with limited positions available, OR, it might be a very common job in the world
the job is NOT one that many Tumblr users would perhaps complain and/or rant and/or criticize about other people having
the job is NOT one commonly associated with things Tumblr tends to skew away from, like industries known to contribute to climate change or jobs that tend to be associated with ultra high earners with wealth inequality in the same industry (editing to plug my other poll that 6 & 7 apply to that nobody is taking)
a "Tumblr Job" is NOT just a job anybody on tumblr might have or even a job most people or many people on tumblr might have. it's not even a job that is necessarily common on tumblr (common on tumblr != common tumblr job), that's something i am interested in finding out via the poll.
just because tumblr users you know also have your job doesn't mean it Is a tumblr job. and just because your job type isn't listed doesn't mean it is Not a tumblr job. there are only 9 job hodgepodge types here. there are more jobs in the world than this and there are more tumblr jobs on tumblr than this. these are also not and are not intended to be standard industry classifications. they are grouped by tumblr vibes, not necessarily by job role or duties.
if you do not have a job at this time, you do not currently right now have one of the listed tumblr jobs. being unemployed or being a student, even if you once had one of these jobs or are studying to obtain one of these jobs, are not jobs for the purpose of this poll.
the purpose of the poll is to see how many respondents actually have and are doing these specific jobs that i have identified as "tumblr jobs". nothing more and nothing less!
[end post]
but nobody is gonna fucking read all that & tumblr polls have character limits. if the poll was as specific as i wanted it to be it would not have however many thousands of votes it currently has. curse of my autisms <3

Hello, I'm thinking of getting a Chinese dwarf hamster and I want to make sure they will have the best home I can offer with the space I have. I admittedly haven't had a hamster since I was a child. What would you suggest?
Omg hi thank you so much for sending this ask this has literally made my day to get to talk husbandry <3
This post will probably get long so I'm going to put in a break shortly! I'll title sections so you can skim fr whatever info you'd like easily!!!
Chinese (Dwarf) Hamster Cages
Tumblr media
(just some random stuff before we get into husbandry):: To preface, while Chinese Hamsters aren't 'technically' dwarf hamsters, they are still referred to as such in pet stores and in most resources outside of the hamster community, but when I refer to a Chinese Hamster it's the same thing!
Out of the 5 species of hamsters in captivity this is also the hardest one to find, they generally don't sell well due to their mouse like appearance (which imo makes them the most interesting species), as well as because they are a almost exclusively solitary species unlike 'true' dwarfs. If you're buying from a pet store be sure they actually have some before you go, if through a breeder or a rescue it'll probably be much easier (but if from a breeder/rescue definitely check their minimum adoption requirements as they vary from organization to organization).
The males have.. very large testicles. It looks very silly but does not affect them so do not worry if your hamster is really silly looking, it adds to their charm.
All husbandry advice will be based on US standard, please note that the recommended standard often differs wildly from country to country, I will be referencing both the CHA and the OHC though as the CHA sucks and is full of insane people who are literally a clique and will come for people not in their clique (specifically referring to breeders). The OHC has a majority of the same breeders on their list but the people who run the association itself are less insane.
The minimum recommended size for a healthy happy dwarf hamster is 450sq inches, or at least 30"x15" (per https://ontariohamsters.ca/). Lets look at some options:
Bin cage: These are incredible since they're sooo versatile. If you decide you'd like to make a bin cage (using a storage bin with added ventilation) this will be the cheapest housing option. The smallest recommended size is a 110 qt sterilite bin, but any size larger in that brand or the largest IKEA SAMLA bin are also acceptable! If you have the space to do a larger enclosure, also look at 200 qt bins and xmas tree bin. Check out this video on how to ventilate since I am silly and cannot use my brain right now to explain it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjuWsbPrF04
The main thing to avoid is bins with wheels underneath, the plastic over the wheels bumps up inside and makes for a great spot to chew and escape from!
Tumblr media
Tank: Tanks are great for allowing for the most bedding possible, and functionally prevent any messes the ham could make. You'll want to look for a 40 gallon at least, if you have a petco near you they regularly (like 5-6 times a year) do a sale where they offer half off on all their tanks (its going on right now actually) so a 40 would be $60 currently. 55 gallon tanks are technically smaller, but they are very tall and allow for a LOT deeper bedding and more climbing enrichment, and 60 and 75 gallon tanks have the same floor space as each other, but the 75 is taller. If you decide on a tank you'll need to order the tank lid online for any size over a 40 (sometimes pet stores have the 40 lid in stock), make sure to get a reptile terrarium lid!
Similarly there are also Acrylic and wooden enclosures. You'll want them to have the ventilation on the lids or very high up on the sides to prevent them from attempting to escape, but I recommended looking into the brands Bucatstate, Niteangel, and Pawhut (before you buy though look for 'clones' of the cages by niteangel because you can find cheaper than their prices for almost everything they sell).
Tumblr media
Wire Cage: These are awesome for allowing for hanging enrichment like toys and shelves, but chinese hamsters are very small so you need bar spacing of at most 3/8". The Prevue 528, Savic Hamster Heaven Metro, and Crittertrail Super Habitat are all awesome options! These can all be purchased online, but Petco sells the Crittertrail Super Habitat and the Hamster Heaven can also be purchased from many Pet Supermarket locations if you have those near you!
That's a Prevue 528 set up below!
Tumblr media
Connectable Cages: If you were wanting a Syrian Hamster (also called golden hamster, teddy bear, black bear, fancy hamster, etc) these wouldn't be possible at all since the tubes cannot accommodate a syrian hamster, and they are honestly HELL to deal with because occasionally they'll pee in the tubes and you'll have to take it all apart to clean it, but you do technically have one option for connectable cages with dwarf hamsters if it interests you. The Crittertrail Super Habitat is about 500sq inches, and features 1 connection port. You can attach connectable cages to that as long as you can maintain them. You don't really want to do only small cages connected to each other, hamsters may be burrowers in the wild but they are also major explorers. If their entire enclosure simulates a burrow they will want to escape that burrow to explore. You want a large main enclosure to allow them to have a 'surface', and to give them the option to burrow on their own (the small ones never have enough room for bedding ugh). The pros to connectable cages is that you can have different areas that are easier to maintain, and chinese hamsters are quite agile so they tend to enjoy being able to explore. If you decide to ever use tubes in your cage, try not to have any straight up and down sections larger than 3-4 inches, if they fall within the tube from any higher they're able to get injured quite easily.
(sorry couldn't find many good set up pics for this option since this style of enclosure has fallen out of style in the last few years for easier, larger setups)
Tumblr media
As far as enclosures go those are your primary options! If you have specific questions about other aspects of their care, please let me know!!! I just didn't wanna overload this one post with too much info...

Okay, but schools do teach all those things. Yes, there have been national efforts to deprioitize these classes, but they're not gone. High schools in my area offer elective car mechanic classes, wood shop, animal husbandry, sewing, cooking (these are kind of a joke and they don't learn how to make anything actually good but at least they get some skills), and personal finance, which is actually required. Personal finance is usually bad because it's Dave Ramsey methods relayed by coaches who don't care, but some of the others are good classes with curriculum that will teach you things. However, the former gifted kids of tumblr are too busy taking advanced classes for college credit or trying to get a half day to fit any of those classes in to their schedules. The vocational type classes are often in a separate building that can house the specialized equipment you need to build a shelf or fix a car and honors type teens don't want to go out there because it feels segregated. A lot of VoTech teachers have zero teacher training - they're professionals who retired from their careers and still wanted to make money, so they come work in the school and they treat the students like little employees, which doesn't work for every kid (and at least around here, they're usually old white men in an area with a large Latinx population, so there is both intercultural stuff and the usual honors kid vs blue collar VoTech kid stuff).
Even the good teachers of these subjects are underpaid or underfunded, so the skills they're teaching can't advance past a certain point. The cooking class maybe makes cookies or pigs in a blanket. There's no money for vegetables. The sewing class makes a pillow or an apron. They teach a kid to sew on a button, but there's not time or resources to teach kids to sew clothes that would fit their own bodies.
I will lay not being able to do their taxes squarely at the feet of coaches who don't care, but the kids who are working mostly don't make enough to file. The kids who have money have people for that. And if you took the semester class in the fall, you won't remember in the spring - learning takes practice.
If you want to blame ~capitalism~ for this, blame the goddamn school boards, which are usually made up of rich/white people because who else has the time? And definitely blame the US government, which has been pushing the "schools aren't worthwhile" line since Thomas Jefferson (although he at least cared a little). Also blame the failure to raise the minimum wage - families who are working constantly to try to make ends meet don't have time to teach these skills at home, especially not to teens whose entire lives are filled with sports and activities (in case they get a scholarship) or their own shitty jobs (to try to support their families).
Schools are trying to offer opportunities for students to learn real-life skills. But schools are not getting money from Hello Fresh or H&R Block, and these aren't the skills that are measured by meaningless standardized tests that determine a school's future funding, so they are forced to prioritize math and science and English if they don't want to be taken over by the state. If state departments of ed are getting sponsored to water down curriculum, it definitely doesn't trickle down. Teachers are doing their best with limited time and resources and students who are often absent, distracted by social media or their own very real problems, or who don't prioritize the learning past the grades because there is so much else going on in their lives.
If you want these classes to be required again, a better strategy than posting on tumblr dot com would be to write to your school boards and your state department of ed and your Congressional reps and pressure them to make these credits required. In my state, students are only required to have one "career/technical" credit. Tell them it's necessary to their 21st century skills or whatever. If you have these skills, volunteer to teach a free class at a community center or local library. If you don't have the energy for that, find another way to share your knowledge. These technical skills build community. Don't give up on recreating that.

Here at Church of Glad Tidings, we have a heart to help those who have been disenfranchised, abused or poorly treated. For over 40 years, we have worked hard investing our time, our energy and our money into meeting urgent needs both locally and abroad. That truly is God’s heart for each of us and has inspired us to embrace the ministry motto: “Find a Need and MEET IT! Find a Hurt and HEAL IT!” Following this vision has taken us from modest beginnings to having built numerous orphanages and helped alleviate the misery of many both young and old here in America and in India, Cambodia, Moldova, Romania and Uganda! Over the years, our attention has been increasingly drawn to the tragic escalation of the world-wide child sex trafficking trade, recently eclipsing the international drug trade to become the #1 profitable criminal enterprise world-wide! Following our passionate commitment “to provide a Christ-honoring solution to every urgent need” we have embarked on a mission to create a sanctuary for children who have been rescued from the unspeakable cruelty and degradation of the international sex trade. We have partnered with Mission Safe Harbour – the largest and most aggressive child rescue operation world history ( https://www.missionsafeharbour.org ), and are currently in the process of buying a ten-acre facility here in Live Oak, California that was formerly a low security women’s prison. We will be transforming it from a prison to a paradise of beauty, love and healing where former sex slaves of international pedophiles are rescued, protected and provided for in a safe and loving “heaven on earth” environment. We are calling it Peace of Heaven Children’s Paradise! Much more than just a refuge for these children, Peace of Heaven will be a place of spiritual, phycological and physical healing, that will provide a “Heaven on Earth” environment that affords each child a safe place to be protected, loved, mentored, educated and inspired to fulfill their highest potential in life! In addition to the best possible medical, phycological spiritual healing modalities, we will provide the finest and most effective Pre-K through Post 12th grade education available, with special emphases on a wide variety of art and music programs, and opportunities for agricultural and agrarian tutelage - as well as technical training in many forms of animal husbandry and equestrian disciplines. Peace of Heaven will tailor education specifically to each child’s individual interests and God-given passions and propensities instead of the lock-stepped rote learning approach that has left America largely bereft of capable leaders and young entrepreneurs. A special focus will be teaching children wisdom and artistry through the beauty of God’s creation, and the children will be surrounded with the exquisite beauty of fountains and lush flower gardens and vegetable/fruit that they will learn to tend and harvest! We will teach practical skills that range from food preparation, pottery making, and drama productions, to carpentry, computer sciences and videography - and will focus primarily on preparing each child for a truly blessed and productive adult life upon the completion of their teen years in Peace of Heaven Children’s Paradise. We have partnered with Mission Safe Harbour to make Peace of Heaven Children’s Paradise a model that inspires other similar Children’s Refuges throughout the world, until TOGETHER we eradicate the evil of Child Sex Trafficking from the known world! TOGETHER WE CAN!!!
Please join us as we revamp this former prison into a glorious paradise of beauty and healing for these horrifically abused kids by combining our talents, our time, and our resources to see these young lives rescued from this hellish slavery and transformed into the noble young men and women that God created them to be!!! PLEASE send your most generous gifts to: Pray with us for all the provisions of all that we need to make Peace Of Heaven Children’s Paradise a reality.
Please help us and these children by giving your most generous donations at the link provided below…. Thank You, may GOD Bless you and may GOD empower us all in doing all that we can to end this evil scourge of child sex trafficking!

What is this blog?
This blog exists to answer the age-old question nobody ever asked: Can lizards use Tumblr? With the help of her blog manager, Xion will be shown posts and her reaction will be photographed. Sure she can't talk, but a picture paints a thousand words, right?
Who - or WHAT is Xion? Xion (she-on) is a self-proclaimed dragon - she's technically not wrong! She's a Central Bearded Dragon (Pogona vitticeps), a species of reptile native to central Australia. She was found left behind in a dingy garage, tiny and hungry. She's grown a lot since then!
Can she react to my post? What she reacts to depends on the posts her blog manager finds. Feel free to send us a link to any and all posts though! However, she is not allowed to react to political posts due to her...questionable opinions.
Why are her scales white? Is she ok? If her scales are starting to turn white it means she's about to shed! She does this every few months. Just know she tends to be a bit more irritable when she's itchy...
What's on her face? Xion is a messy eater and sometimes has a bit of food on her face. If it's red, she likely got a strawberry as a treat.
There's something wrong with her tank! If you spot something off with my husbandry, PLEASE let me know! Since caring for her was jumped on me, I'm mostly playing it by ear. I do my research, but sometimes things get jumbled up and I make mistakes. My family is also currently going through some financial issues and I'm struggling to find a job due to physical disability, so it takes a bit to convince my mother to even replace a bulb.
(That being said, currently I'm in the process of setting up her new tank! You might see her running around in either in photos. Please know that loose substrate won't cause impaction as long as the rest of your husbandry is correct! Basically, if she eats some while grabbing a bug she should be able to pass it just fine.)
Will there be opportunities to donate/buy her a snack? At this point in time I'm not sure how I'd set that up, but it would be super helpful given my family's current situation! If you're interested please let me know! I'd be happy to supply lizard pictures in return :]

Hey Everyone!
So...another confession time....
Remember when I said my favorite art medium was Drawing rather than writing (I like both but the latter wins out.)
Well Before this section of Warhammer became by most recent hyperfixation I wanted to do a Pokémon Region Blog! Which is the blog above @justanotherdayintejamas
And I still technically am, I just got burned out on that before Warhammer, ironically, came to my rescue.
Seeing and Doing art pieces for awesome fics and characters like those of @kit-williams, and @angronsjewelbeetle and @virozero among so many others ( @gallifreyianrosearkytiorsusan @sleepyfan-blog @bleedingichorhearts and @egrets-not-regrets ) Really helped me step up my game.
And I feel it shows in how the designs of my first Tejamas pokemon have changed.
So I just wanted to make this post to say Thank You! I finally feel confident enough showing off one of my passion projects I'll be working on alongside the Space Marine Husbandry fics.
Plus I saw alot of you loved Pokémon too so...I kinda wanted to show my Fakemon off. ☺
Hope you like them. Alot of the post on the Tejamas Blog have outdated designs which will be updated with their own New vs Old posts...Eventually. (time there is Never enough)
Also if you see some old videos on that blog...no you don't (jk I'm actually kinda proud I even managed to do those semi competently but they old and clunky so don't expect gold quality if you decide to watch them.)
New vs Old
It's been a while, mostly because I got pulled into a whole other hyperfixation! But ironically doing art and fics for that has helped my burnout for this one.
Starting off there'll be some soft reboots of Pokemon designs! Because I! Have perfection issues and often don't feel completely satisfied with my designs.
But on the other hand as I improve, going back and Tweaking previous designs and spicing them up with features I didn't originally think about is quite enjoyable.
This Post will compile some of these different designs going from old to new Because it's fun to see the Progression!
Fillipede The Roll Run Pokemon! V1 to V4
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Fillipede reaches a certain speed stat and Forgets the move Rollout it evolves into!
Ornatipede The Ride Megapede Pokemon
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'll have a proper post about the updated designs and their Pokedex entries later. But I just wanted to do a quick post to show off the progress these designs have had.

1. Medusa - Transformation/Curses
I wanted to do something for Mercelot week, but just do not have time at the moment. However, not as proper entries but just to do something, I'm going to try a drabble thing a day that at some point I will knit together into an actual fic.
It all takes part in an AU where the Merlin characters are all deities based on the Greek gods (all because of a post where Lancelot was compared with Persephone...)
And, thus, the ramble is over, and here is the first drabble...
Next post
-
The first time Merlin properly met his future husband, Lancelot, it was only moments after he had been transformed into a sheep.  Admittedly it was the most adorable and fluffy sheep the god of revelry had ever seen, but it did not make for much of an auspicious start to their relationship.  The situation was further worsened by the fact that Lancelot being a sheep was, technically, Merlin's fault.
Although, it was more Morgana's fault really.
Merlin had been trying to get the goddess of the weather back after she had sent a wave of thunderstorms across part of the world, decimating the crop of Merlin's favourite grapes - and so ensuring one year's worth of his favourite wine would be missing.  In retaliation, he borrowed a potion from Gaius to turn her hair an unusual shade of pale green, and ever since then, he and the goddess had been exchanging pranks and mischievious acts with each other for decades.  Perhaps longer.
It was hard to keep track.
And, in the latest, he had happened to sneak into Gaius' well of knowledge and fish out a spell for transformation.  He had planned to transform Morgana into a sheep, right on the plain where Percival was grazing his sheep, and then he'd turn her back after she'd had a while of living with the god of husbandry's flock.
But Morgana had conjured a whirlwind just as he was casting the spell.
Of course, this meant that the spell got...misplaced.
And suddenly the god of beauty and art, who had been contentedly picking flowers nearby, was a sheep.
Percival stared.  Morgana stared.  Merlin stared.
The sheep let out a pitiful bleat.
And Merlin just couldn't help it.
With barely a second's grace, he broke down in hysterics.
The quiet, reserved, unapproachably stunning and impossibly shy god of beauty was now a two foot tall, shockingly woolly sheep who wore as close to an indignant expression as a sheep could possess.

Re the snake blog endorsing snake discovery:
They don't Fully Endorse, there are caveats. In fact they've recently gone into detail about their feelings on the channel if you wanna do your own research rather than going off hearsay. They're also very much qualified to be running that blog (note, not trying to be combative, I'm really bad at tone so I feel like I have to specify just in case I'm phrasing things aggro)
I have now read the post you are referring to, and I have determined I am not a fan. Endorsing a channel which routinely abuses a disabled alligator, puts other people in danger, produces unethical mutations, and uses outdated breeding techniques is not a good thing, even with caveats. I understand that they cannot screen every video on a channel, but it’s fairly well documented that Snake Discovery is unreliable and unethical, regardless of whether or not some of their videos have correct information.
I have seen multiple owl pet-keepers who post videos that are technically correct in terms of perching or equipment or diet or what have you, but I am not going to endorse those as a good resource for raptor husbandry because the layman is not going to know which of the other videos are bad. If I endorse unethical raptor-keeping resources, it gives that resource more traction and popularity while also giving people the thought in the back of their head that the person keeping pet owls knows what they’re doing because I endorsed it.
It is a terrible idea from where I stand, and leads to more people with misconceptions on the proper husbandry needs of the animals, which would be antithetical to running a blog of this kind.

ok i’m posting my cover letter i’m sick of looking at it… i’m sure i will be able to finish it myself but any help is appreciated, i just have said the same words too many times, and some paragraphs could end more eloquently
Working in a funeral home is not a position that usually appeals to most individuals, however, I find myself in the position of having a skillset that I believe could benefit from taking my career path in this direction. I want to bestow a kindness upon bereaving families, by reassuring them that their loved ones will be treated with compassion, even after they have left this life. I hope to work towards being a Funeral Director, myself. In addition to the technical skills required for this career path, I would be able to bring forth the empathetic skills that I believe define what it is to work in a funeral home.
This has been a lifelong interest of mine. I'm incredibly passionate about how the industry is evolving, people are seeking more eco-friendly, sustainable and natural burial methods, as well as home funerals and cremation alternatives. I think these options are extremely valuable to communities, cultures, and the future of our planet.
Though I lack conventional experience in this field, my other skills lie with animal husbandry, which has taught me a great deal about death, though visceral and painful, the confronting experience can be transformed into a healing process for those involved when treated with grace, love and acceptance. My mother and I offer a service of dispatching problem roosters, this is something that animal welfare organisations like the RSPCA do not offer, it can be very stressful and daunting for people, ultimately leading to abandonment of animals or dangerous environments. This undertaking requires huge amounts of empathy & compassion, as well as fortitude, a strong will, and deft hands. I really do feel this offers me a great insight & unique perspective into this kind of work.
What I’m seeking most of all is guidance and training to aid me in breaking into the industry, to network, and continue to expand on my skills & knowledge. Any advice, information or opportunities would be greatly appreciated.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me for any more information, I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time and your consideration.
Sincerely, Neptune Ψ
